Saturday 14th January 2009

Happy Valentine's day! Phil and I have planned a cosy night in (after the kids are in bed asleep) with a Thornton's chocolate dipping chocolate fondue, plus strawberries and heart shaped marshmallows. Oh and a nice big duvet, with the fire on, and a dvd (The Holiday - neither of us have seen it).  Ahh it will be lovely.

Not much to say really. I want to get into the shower but Phil is still in bed so I'm stuck down here looking after Lydia and Alex. I'll have to get one when he wakes up.

Uh....that's it. Dull as dishwater today. Love to you all on V day ;)

Thursday 12th February 2009

Hello,

it's been a while - well a couple of weeks anyway. I guess I forgot about this blog!

Well, the "secret" is a secret no longer. We told my mother-in-law, dad, step-mother, and my mam.
Who in turn have seen fit to tell all extended family members...

anybody reading this blog (who didn't already know) probably guessed from some of the previous entries anyway. Yes, that's right, I'm expecting another baby.

I'm 9 weeks pregnant today! woo! Baby is due 17th September, although I have a track record of being over 2 weeks late, so I'm expecting this one some time around the end of Sept or at a push the beginning of October.

Lydia's birthday is 25th Sept, so I hope I don't have the baby on that day - I want Lydia to keep her birthday just to herself.

In other news, we've had snow. Snow snow snow snow and more bloody snow. It snowed so much last week that the car got stuck on the road several times and Phil had to push it. Lydia had to miss nursery for two days because I couldn't get the car out of the drive!
And...it's snowing now, again.
How much snow!?!
Just when I thought it was starting to melt as well. Well Lydia likes it very much - she's got this habit of launching herself face first into it and wriggling around claiming she's making snow angels. I don't have the heart to tell her that you're meant to lie on your back for snow angels lol.

It will be Valentine's day on Saturday. I've bought the movie 'The Holiday' for Phil and I to watch after the kids are asleep (we've never seen it before), and he's bought some Thorntons dipping chocolate. I've bought some strawberries and heart shaped marshmallows.
Hoping for a nice cosy night in (if the kids don't give us grief at bedtime!)

Went with Phil and my  best friend Amy to the cinema on Monday to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. It was good (but very lengthy - I got terrible backache sitting through it), but the ending is so sad. I was very close to crying. Phil, bless him, bawled his heart out!

That'll do for now - adios
